As the number of households seeking support for homelessness in Wales rises (more than 12,500 last year), Dawsons is proud to stand alongside the charity Crisis to address this urgent issue. Our collaboration is rooted in the shared belief that a safe home is a fundamental necessity for the well-being and prosperity of every individual. In this blog, we delve into our partnership with Crisis and the collective efforts to alleviate homelessness in our community.
Founded in 1967, Crisis has been a beacon of hope for thousands, guiding individuals on pathways out of homelessness. The charity offers practical assistance, from facilitating access to benefits and healthcare services to providing learning and well-being opportunities. At the heart of Crisis' mission is the commitment to alleviate the immense pressures of homelessness by assisting people in finding secure and affordable housing.
In recognising this housing need, Dawsons and Crisis share a common goal: to help individuals experiencing homelessness find safe and affordable homes as quickly as possible. Crisis equips and supports individuals with the tools and knowledge to successfully rent, budget, and maintain their homes, fostering stability and a foundation for a brighter future.
Dawsons actively collaborates with Crisis to ensure that landlords in our network can contribute to the solution. By working alongside Crisis, we strive to secure a supply of affordable homes and landlords for Crisis members, reinforcing our commitment to the community and the collective goal of reducing homelessness.
Breaking the Ice at Ponty Lido
