At Dawsons we understand our most valuable resource is our strong team of local experienced property experts, assisting our clients with ‘all things property’ such as: property sales, rentals, mortgage and financial advice, a dedicated auction dept, and a land and new homes team.
Being a local independent partnership, we have continuously grown since inception in 1991 to now having over 120 employees within our branches covering Swansea, Llanelli and surrounding areas. We are extremely proud to note that over 60% of our team have been with us for over 10 years, with many of these being 20 years +, this is due to the investment in our team’s training and development along with the encouragement for our staff members to grow individually alongside the business.

Auction Property Sales Consultant

Our Auction Department specialises in modern online property auctions, delivering outstanding results for clients across South Wales and beyond. We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Auction Property Sales Consultant to join our successful team.

The Role
As an Auction Property Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in generating business, managing auction properties from instruction through to completion, and delivering exceptional customer service to buyers and sellers alike.
This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring strong communication, organisational, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify applicants and register details onto the company database
- Manage and update property and applicant records accurately
- Assist in the promotion and successful delivery of online auction listings
- Liaise with solicitors to obtain legal documentation and ensure auction legal packs are prepared within required timescales
- Support buyers and sellers with auction and legal pack enquiries
- Prepare property particulars for new auction listings
- Ensure all files remain compliant and maintained to company and regulatory standards
- Arrange appointments and manage departmental diaries
- Process exchanges of contracts efficiently
- Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks in accordance with regulations
- Arrange and conduct property viewings
- Measure and photograph properties for marketing purposes
- Negotiate offers between buyers and sellers
- Maintain knowledge of the local property market and competitor activity
- Generate and prospect new business opportunities across all Dawsons services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, solicitors, housing associations, and other professional contacts
- Deliver outstanding customer service via telephone, email, online enquiries, and face-to-face communication
- Attend ongoing training and development sessions

Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 9.00am – 5.30pm
- Friday: 9.00am – 5.00pm
- 1 in 4 Saturdays: 9.00am – 4.00pm

Saturday Viewing Assistant – Sketty, Swansea and Morriston Branches (Part-time | Permanent | A perfect first step into a career in property)

We have part-time roles available at both our Sketty Sales, Swansea and Morriston Sales branches. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in the property industry, with the potential to develop a long-term career within our award-winning team.
What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking someone who is:

Key Responsibilities:
- Accompanying potential buyers on property viewings

Residential lettings consultant and property inspector (Part time (25 Hours over 5 days in our Llanelli Branch)
Dawsons, the leading independent estate agency in Swansea and Llanelli, is looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join our award-winning lettings team as a part time Residential Lettings consultant & Property Inspector (starting with an initial 12 month maternity cover contract).
Whilst experience within the property industry is preferred, it is not essential, should there be transferable skills from similar client and customer facing role outside our property sector.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service from initial enquiry through to move-in.
- Conduct accompanied viewings, negotiate contracts, and liaise between landlords and tenants, as well as accommodating the related administrative aspects.
- Build rapport with landlords and prospective tenants, proactively growing and retaining our client base.
- Complete accurate inventory schedules and condition reports, support routine property visits, along with end of occupation property inspections.
- Collaborate with your branch team to exceed targets and uphold Dawsons’ high standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Preferably at least 1 years’ experience in lettings, property, or customer service.
- Full driving licence (essential).
