Dawsons Partnership Announce Strategic Leadership Changes

We are pleased to announce several key changes within our leadership team, effective immediately. These changes mark an exciting new chapter for us here in Dawsons, a South Wales based independently owned estate agents as we continue to evolve and expand our range of property services.

After years of dedicated service, Chris Hope has transitioned to the role of 'Property Consultant,' serving as a valuable asset to us here in Dawsons. Chris will continue to represent Dawsons as our familiar face and will maintain many years of already established relationships.

Ricky Purdy has now become one of our four business Partners. Ricky's journey with Dawsons began in 2000 with a temporary two-week position in Mumbles lettings. Over the years Ricky has risen through the ranks to become the 'Director of Residential Lettings' and now assumes the role of partner, contributing to our strategic direction while continuing his day-to-day responsibilities.

Joining us as the fourth business partner is Robert Camm from CLC Estate Management. Robert, known as Rob, previously started his career with us at Dawsons as a Graduate Surveyor before establishing CLC. And now returning back to where it started for Rob, under the Dawsons umbrella, CLC will provide specialised 'Block Management' services for both residential and commercial properties, enhancing our comprehensive property service offerings.

James will continue his role focusing on commercial activities and valuations, with Rob's support. Additionally, Tim will maintain his responsibilities heading up our Development, Land & New Homes department, while taking on a more operational role within the company.

Joanne Summerfield-Talbot continues her pivotal role as the 'Director of Residential Sales,' overseeing this crucial department. Sharran Jones will continue as the Practice Manager, now supported by Tracy Roberts, our new Finance Officer.

Our new leadership team wanted to say a few words about these recent changes:

Tim Kostromin:

“While day-to-day operations will remain largely unchanged, we are very much looking forwards to the future and the addition to the business Rob brings, and knowing Chris will remain with us in a consultancy role is reassurance and a familiar face to those both inside and outside the company have very much enjoyed working with him over the decades.”

Ricky Purdy:

“Becoming a partner marks a start of the next chapter, and is a proud moment. For me, it signifies the culmination of many years hard work, of growth, support, being surrounded by a fantastic team. The journey from a new starter to director has been a transformative one, marked by challenges we have overcome and milestones achieved. Up to now my roles have provided invaluable experience, shaping skills and leadership qualities necessary for this next challenge.

However, with the excitement comes the recognition of the challenges that lie ahead. The responsibilities are greater, the decisions weightier, and the expectations higher. Navigating the complexities of partnership will require a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to help inspire and lead our great company through change.

As a partner, there is the renewed sense of purpose and determination. I am very excited by the journey that lays ahead”.

James Dawson:

“The introduction of Rob and Ricky as partners is incredibly exciting. Knowing that Ricky will continue to push the lettings side of the business as he has done as a Director will give our clients comfort. Rob bringing his block management expertise means that he and Ricky will work together in strengthening a busy aspect and ever growing part of our business. Rob also becomes a great addition to our valuation team working alongside myself and the recently qualified Joe Demarco”.

Chris Hope did also add a few words on his retirement from the partnership too:

“From the moment Dawsons was born in 1991 I have enjoyed my role here at Dawsons, and to see the team grow year on year, from strength to strength, on to winning the numerous accolades in the more recent years. Whilst I feel it is time to take a step back from the partnership and enjoy life with my family a little more, I will wholeheartedly be continuing my time with Dawsons for some time yet, supporting the great team we have here to further growth and achievements.”
