This team-led decision reflects the values that matter most to our people: supporting local families, making a tangible difference close to home, and backing organisations that provide vital care and support at the most difficult times.
Our partnership has already begun, with a small internal fundraiser held in October raising £113.00 a modest start, but one we are proud of. Throughout 2026, our main fundraising efforts, including our annual summer fundraiser alongside a number of smaller initiatives, will all be directed towards supporting the Kids Cancer Charity.
We are also keen to get involved in the charity’s own events wherever possible, working together to raise both funds and awareness for the incredible work they do across Swansea and the wider area.
Speaking about the decision, Dawsons Business Partner Tim Kostromin said:
“At Dawsons, supporting our local community is something we genuinely care about, and this partnership means a huge amount to us. What makes it even more special is that this charity was chosen by our team. The work Kids Cancer Charity does for children and families across Swansea is incredible, and we are proud to be committing our fundraising efforts throughout the year to support such an important cause.”
Emma Jayne Wood, fundraising development officer of Kids Cancer Charity, added:
“We are incredibly grateful to Dawsons for choosing to support us as their charity partner for the year. The funds raised through partnerships like this make a real difference to the children and families we support, helping us continue our work here in Swansea. Knowing that the Dawsons team have chosen us and are so keen to be involved means a lot to us as a team, and we are really looking forward to working together over the year ahead.”
This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a meaningful and long-lasting partnership. We look forward to sharing updates, fundraising milestones and moments from events throughout the year, and to working closely with the Kids Cancer Charity to support children and families when they need it most.
