Dawsons leads a Welsh collaboration in a UK first for home movers

At Dawsons, we’ve always believed that moving home should feel clearer, simpler and more certain, not weighed down by unnecessary repetition or avoidable delays. That’s why we are incredibly proud to be part of a UK first that marks a major step forward for buyers and sellers alike.

Working alongside two fellow Welsh businesses, Dezrez and Credas, Dawsons has completed the very first live property transaction using Credas’ innovative Property Compliance Wallet, a world-first solution designed to streamline identity verification and legal compliance throughout the home-moving process.

A smarter way to move home

Traditionally, buyers and sellers are asked to complete the same identity and compliance checks multiple times as a transaction progresses, often with different parties requesting the same information. The Property Compliance Wallet changes that.

By allowing secure identity and compliance checks to be completed once and safely reused across the transaction, the Wallet reduces duplication, saves time and increases certainty for everyone involved, from buyers and sellers to estate agents and conveyancers.

In fact, the technology is expected to reduce the average number of compliance checks from 5.4 times to just one.

Collaboration at the heart of progress

This milestone forms part of a growing collaboration between Dawsons, Dezrez and Credas, all South Wales–based businesses, working together to improve the experience of moving home, not just in Wales, but across the UK.

It also highlights the value of integrated services such as Dezrez’s Market Ready, which brings together compliance and legal processes much earlier in the journey. By addressing these elements upfront, transactions can progress with greater clarity and fewer surprises.

Jo Summerfield-Talbot, Sales Director at Dawsons, explains:

“Buying and selling homes works best when agents, conveyancers and compliance partners are aligned and communicating clearly from the start. Strong collaboration means fewer surprises and a far smoother journey for everyone involved.  At Dawsons, we believe technology should support people, not replace them. Innovation should remove duplication and friction, while keeping the human side of the process front and centre.”

Simon King from Dezrez commented:

“Working with Dawsons on the first Compliance Wallet transaction reinforces our shared commitment to delivering innovation and better outcomes for estate agents and their customers. This technology removes unnecessary repetition from the home-moving process and delivers on our promise of more certainty, less hassle and putting people at the centre.”

Leading positive change from Wales

With transformative regulation on the horizon and sweeping housing reforms expected, trusted and efficient compliance processes will play an increasingly important role in protecting consumers and supporting smoother transactions.

This collaboration is a powerful example of Welsh businesses leading positive change, combining local expertise with national impact and helping raise standards across the property sector.

As Jo concludes:

“We’re incredibly proud to be a Welsh business working alongside other companies across South Wales to improve the home-moving experience. It shows what’s possible when local businesses collaborate with a shared vision for progress.”
