Agents Giving #IndustryActsOfKindness awards: We’ve been nominated!

2020 has certainly been a rollercoaster year so far with very little let up, and we want to start this post by saying we hope you’re keeping safe and well and doing the best you can be in the circumstances.

One thing this pandemic and the challenges it’s brought with it has highlighted, is the kindness of people, and their willingness to jump in and help whenever they see a need. We’re super proud to be part of a team who cares so much about the local community.

Over the past year so far, we’ve run a collection of Easter Eggs from staff and donated them to the Children’s ward at Morriston Hospital, lockdown saw agents assisting vulnerable tenants with whatever they needed including shopping during lockdown, we were able to organise short term lets for key workers who needed to isolate apart from their families, and now as we’re seeing a sharp rise in the need for foodbanks, we’re taking part in Agents Giving’s drive for foodbank donations. You can read more about what we’ve been up to here.

None of this would be possible without the entire Dawsons team being willing to go the extra mile at the drop of a hat, without even giving it a second thought. Not for recognition, but out of a genuine love for the community we all live and work in.

That makes this news even more exciting. Agents Giving is an industry charity which assists agents in fundraising for local charities, and they’ve decided this year to seek out and award agents who have gone above and beyond with acts of Kindness. The Dawsons team have been nominated for the Best Team Act of Kindness Award!

The Virtual Acts of Kindness Awards will be held on 4th December between 4-5pm, with the winners being presented by brilliant host and Agents Giving patron, Phil Spencer. It’ll be streaming live on YouTube, and we’re very much looking forward to celebrating lovely acts of kindness, big and small.

If you’re currently feeling a bit low, it’s well worth visiting the Agents Giving website here and having a read through just some of the stories of good deeds - It’s bound to raise a smile.
