How do you solve a problem like Covid-19?

We’re now in September, seven months on from the first talk of Covid-19 and lockdowns, and moving forward into our ‘new normal’, despite what that looks like changing with each new piece of legislation and updated Covid-19 statistics.

In the months during early lockdown where we were unable to conduct property viewings, whilst the property industry ground to a halt, we adopted a proactive-but-safe approach behind the scenes that saw staff adjusting to working from home, whilst putting the framework in place for when we were able to start work again offering virtual viewings with the safety and comfort of both staff and clients being our top priority.

All the hard work and preparation meant that we were able to hit the ground running, after ensuring that all the Dawsons offices, staff, and our clients were ready for July when restrictions began to ease.

Our Sales and Lettings clients are benefiting from the speed and convenience of virtual activities, resulting in brilliant statistics for July and August – a positive impact on activity for our Vendors, purchasers and our tenants and landlords – with many clients and their families being accommodated, including those of key workers which other agents simply weren’t equipped to cater for.

And let’s not forget our fabulous auctions team, who worked (and are still working) incredibly hard for virtual property auctions to take place, replicating some of the excitement from the sale room online – and having great success for our clients in doing so.

We’re so proud that we’ve been able to pull together and help so many people bringing calm to the chaos that is affecting all our lives collectively, and we don’t see that changing. We’ll still be right here to continue with the same approach moving forward, whatever we may need to face in the months ahead.
