DAWSONS ESTATE AGENTS KILLAY OFFICE

High Street versus Online Estate Agents

We’ve been looking into the reasons why using High Street Estate Agents offers property sellers a lot more to consider when selecting the right agent.

Catchy Window Display

Richard Tucker, Managing Director of Relocation Agent Network, says:

“High street presence means you can see how an agent presents properties for sale in their window. What is it about the display that catches your eye? How involved is the agent in the local community? And of course, you have a place to meet with your agent.DAWSONS ESTATE AGENTS MUMBLES OFFICE

Local Area Information

Local knowledge is a must for someone looking to move into a new area. The agent will be able to share key information about the neighbourhood with potential buyers.

Realistic Outlook

A can-do attitude provides the assurance that your sale is in a safe pair of hands. The agent is realistic and will explain to you the challenges that may occur and the solutions available to overcome them; the key point is that you are in the hands of a professional who is proactive and knows how to help their customers make a successful move.  If you are choosing a pay-upfront option to sell your home, what is the incentive for the agency to get the price right in the first instance and keep you informed of anything?.”

Reviews and Recommendations

Going on, Richard explains:

“Client testimonials tell you about the quality of the service and the impressions left on both buyers and sellers who have used the agent previously. Selling a home is not only a financial transaction, but an exchange between real people.

Friendly Face

Face-to-face support brings us back to the people aspect; seeing a familiar face, someone you can trust when you need advice can really help reduce the stress associated with certain elements of selling and buying a property.

Sales Progression

By taking personal ownership of your sale and purchase it means that the agent is dedicated to finding you the best buyer for your property and the right property for you to move to. The agent is willing to invest their time and resources to be your advocate and to give you the support you need to make a successful move.”

 In conclusion

Having a real person to talk to, a friendly face, a true connection with your agent, rather than dealing with a “person” online (or doing it all yourself) can make the sales process a lot easier to handle and keeps you in the loop.  That way you are more likely to have a smooth and speedy transaction, and there is always someone available to answer your questions or ease a tricky situation.

Relocation Agent Network

2 Relocation Agent Specialists Join DAWSONS

Please join us in saying a big congratulations to Danielle Thomas from Dawsons in Mumbles and Sam Partner from Dawsons in Llanelli who are both celebrating after becoming accredited Relocation Agent Specialists.

Relocation Agent Network

The accreditation is awarded by the Relocation Agent Network and is achieved by completing a comprehensive online training programme, entitled, ‘The Importance of Service’.

A national network of independent estate agents (of which Dawsons is a selected member), entitled the “Relocation Agent Network” introduced the training programme to ensure each of their members provides the very highest customer service to those relocating around the UK.

To be successfully accredited, participants must complete three phases of learning, which begins with four training sessions on the importance of customer service. This is followed by three online seminars covering the Relocation Agent Network Referral Process and how best to help customers who are relocating around the UK. Finally, participants must convert their theoretical learning into a practical skill set by delivering assistance to three relocating customers.

By working with fellow members across England, Scotland and Wales, Relocation Agent Network members provide an exclusive relocation referral service to customers. For those relocating to Mumbles and Gower, Dawsons guides their customers through the daunting task of moving to an unfamiliar location. This includes local area information on schools and amenities, popular neighbourhoods and (of course) finding the right property for them. The introduction of a Relocation Agent Specialist to the Dawsons team, ensures that this process is made even smoother.

Dawsons Chris Hope said, “We take staff development very seriously and Danielle’s Relocation Agent Network accreditation is a great example of what can be achieved when staff are supported properly to improve their skill set. Of course, having a Relocation Agent Specialist in the team is also great for our relocating customers.”

Relocation Agent Network’s Managing Director, Richard Tucker said, “Selected by us as the best independent estate agent to represent the Network in Mumbles, Dawsons have proved themselves as the area’s Local Expert. So with the addition of an in-house Relocation Agent Specialist, they have gone one step further to provide relocating buyers and sellers with the very best customer service.”

Burry Port Raft Race

Dawsons to sponsor Burry Port Raft Race again

Dawsons is delighted to be the principal sponsor of the Burry Port Raft Race for a second year.

The event this year takes place on Saturday, August 11.

“We sponsored the event last year and we had no hesitation in doing it again this year, especially as it raises valuable funds for both Burry Port RNLI and Afia Children’s Football Academy Foundation in Africa,” said Dawsons’ Senior Partner Chris Hope.

“We have an office in Llanelli and many of our staff are from the Burry Port area and again we will be entering our very own Dawsons raft. We are just hoping that, despite great efforts by our crew, they go a bit better that they did last year!”

There are plenty of prizes for those involved including best dressed raft, first raft to sink, best dressed crew, last raft over the line and worst dressed raft.

Swans legend Alan Curtis helps Dawsons football boot campaign

Swans legend involved in Dawsons’ campaign to donate football boots to Africa

Swansea City legend Alan Curtis is among scores of generous people who have donated unwanted boots to an African football academy.

Dawsons estate agent was among the main sponsors of this year’s inaugural Burry Port Raft Race, an event organised by Isabel and Craig Goodman to raise funds for the Burry Port RNLI and the Afia Banjul Children’s Football Academy in Gambia.

Further to the success of the raft race the organisers asked if Dawsons was able to collect any unwanted football boots, trainers or togs, and any kit for the Afia Banjul academy.

Dawsons were kindly donated buckets from another Swansea company: Exall & Jones, to collect boots in all of the sales and lettings offices throughout August.

“After having such a great day at the raft race raising funds for both the Burry Port RNLI and the Afia Banjul Children’s football academy it is great to continue our involvement in the fundraising,” said Dawsons Senior Partner Chris Hope.

“And it’s equally as great to see such amazing follow-up support after receiving the request for kit from the football academy by our staff, customers and contractors alike which included some donations from some well-known local faces such as Alan Curtis and Richie Pugh (Rugby Wales Sevens), and we look forward to seeing our donations arrive where they are much needed.”

Isabel said: “We are so grateful for this donation and it will now be shipped out to Gambia asap. The football academy is extremely grateful for all they receive, and are always needing new kit so if you anyone has any donations please feel free to drop them to Dawsons who can of course still pass them on.”
