Dawsons’ video celebrating special charity day at Burry Port Raft Race

Our hearty crew may not have won the Dawsons-sponsored Burry Port Raft Race and we didn’t even get on the podium.

But it’s the taking part right?

Matthew, Joe, Erich and David won plenty of fans especially Matthew and Joe who completed the race in shirt and tie.

It was a brilliant day that raised money for the RNLI and Afia Banjul Children’s Football Academy in The Gambia.

“It was a fantastic day and we were delighted to be the main sponsors of the event,” said Chris Hope, Dawsons’ Senior Partner.

“There were 100s of people there to support the race and the crowds were two or three deep on the quayside cheering on the rafts.

“Unfortunately, our raft team did not win but it’s a huge thank you to our team of Matthew, Joe, Erich and David for taking part and finishing.

“And a big thank you also has to go to the staff in the Llanelli lettings and sales teams for all the hard work they did behind the scenes.”

Leon Atolagbe, Dawsons Senior Negotiator. talking to new landlords at an open evening at the Marina Office

Dawsons hosts successful open evening to welcome new landords

Dawsons has held a very successful open evening at their Marina Office to welcome new landlords.

Dawsons acquired Marina & SA1 properties in mid-June, and it seems the landlords and tenants alike have taken to this merger with ease.

“It has been a very smooth transition for all involved and we have very much enjoyed meeting our new customer base in recent weeks both by phone, email and face-to-face in our office,” said Ricky Purdy, Dawsons Director of Lettings.

“Our most recent event saw our newly-acquired landlords relaxing and enjoying a nice glass of Pimms with nibbles, and catching up with Irene, who has joined us in the merger with Marina & SA1 properties, and also meeting our well established rental team.

“It was a very busy evening, full of positive discussions on how Dawsons will continue to manage the landlords’ properties with the great customer service they had previously received.

“Along with that there are some extra benefits which include: access to a wider scope of contractors, our links nationwide with other well established agents and our technical reporting system providing the landlords with online property visit reports, giving them the ability to see the internal condition of their property throughout the tenancy.”

Dawsons Senior Lettings staff member Leon was there to welcome all Dawsons’ guests and talk them through all aspects of the transition in management.

Also on hand was Legionella Risk Assessor Ian who was able to answer any questions regarding the recent need for risk assessments of property water supplies.  Dawsons’ Marina office senior administrator Laura was able to assist some landlords with any Rent Smart Wales queries.

Added Ricky: “Our staff in the newly merged Marina office have worked extremely well together throughout the coalition of both companies and look forward to the future as one even bigger team with even greater experience and property knowledge to boot.”

Dawsons aquisition of SA1 & Marina Properties

Leading Swansea estate agent announces acquisition of marina property firm

Dawsons Property has announced a merger with Marina & SA1 Properties.

The takeover sees two well established, local and trusted companies combining in a bid to enhance customer experience and other professional services to clients in the Maritime quarter.

The merger has been a seamless transition which sees the Marina & SA1 Property clients benefit from the thorough planning and cooperation of both teams from the very outset, and as the summer months move forward.

“What a great acquisition this has already proven to be, and we are already looking to the future and building what will be a special team and presence in the Marina for the exciting times ahead,” said Ricky Purdy, Director of Residential Lettings.

“The transition has been a smooth one, with our new clients at the forefront of our objectives.

“We hope to continue this process during the weeks ahead at several open evenings and meet-the-team events that we are to hold over the summer months.

“We know how important continuity is, and agent/client rapport, so meeting in person makes for a great start to our long term working relationships.”

The Marina & SA1 Properties will now display the Dawsons brand.

The Marina and SA1 staff along with Dawsons’ Marina staff, who have been with us since the opening day at the Marina six years ago, have already formed a formidable team focusing on customer service.

Having already established a strong presence in the Marina, supported by their four other rental offices elsewhere within Swansea and Llanelli, the Dawsons brand looks to establish itself further within the Marina in readiness for the continued developments both independent and those related to the University.

With the merger, coming over to Dawsons are Irene Williams and Delyth Evans.

Irene has extensive customer service and lettings and sales negotiation experience. She is knowledgeable about the local area and property values in Swansea. She is motivated to help you sell or rent your property as quickly as possible by providing a knowledge-based valuation together with a friendly and informative service.

Delyth provides bookkeeping and accounts support. She is the “go to” lady for people who have queries about your statements or rent payments and is providing invaluable back office support to the busy front office team.
